This is junk science. Not even a paper, but just a commentary. Many top immunologist are decrying this piece of crap. This has NO DATA to back up this idea. This is not just wrong. It is dangerous. It will lead people to think that if I ware a mask, and get close to infected people, I will become immune.

Just effort to deconstruct some of the underlying pathology to the behavior. Personal fears + mob dynamics + denial + self & other destructiveness. Not just the NEJM, or the individuals there; I see this delusion-based behavior is elsewhere too, widespread, very dangerous.
Don't endanger yourself or others should be lifestyle, not a tired fad, not a partisan position.,
