Embarrassing and odd.
Have you ever looked at something for years and then realized later that you had completely missed its details?
I've owned and listened to Supertramp albums since I was a teenager. Recently I was looking at the Breakfast in America cover and realized that I *never* noticed that the generically shaded cityscape in the background is actually made up of dishes and breakfast-related items.
What a maroon I am!
Hmm. Really? Maybe it's actually a Mandela effect, then. ๐คฃ
Probs just a coincidence but I did have a torrid affair with Liz Loftus.
True story.
Maybe.

She broke it off and I became --
@codeWhisperer You. Are. Not. Alone. Happened to me a couple years ago.
To be fair, I bought the album on cassette, and didn't have a magnifying glass handy.
It was easy to miss.
@danalan @codeWhisperer I used to post my vinyl listening sessions with a pic of the cover and got to looking at the pic I had just taken and blew it up and realized what I'd been missing.

I only learned recently that the "UFOs" on Boston's album covers are actually upside down guitars ๐คฃ
@codeWhisperer You're not alone. It wasn't long ago that people were surprised when someone pointed out that the spaceships on the Boston Album cover were actually guitars. ๐
@codeWhisperer
Can confirm; also just recently as well.
