@Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine @jjmacnab And MSU is very proud of that diversity. They use it as a recruiting tool so they aren’t quiet about their diversity. That part of their make up made working there fun and educational for me. I met a young man who was one of the students in Tiananmen Square and had a teacher who’d lost loved ones in the ethical cleansing in Rwanda. Before MSU I grew up in a town filled with working class white rednecks and racism. Best learning tool I had in my life was MSU.
@Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine @jjmacnab As to your question of why that area and synagogue, my guess is because he probably has connections to the area and/or the recent shooting brought his attention to that area. What made me love the area is most likely what made him target it.
@jjmacnab I have so many questions. At least a couple answers. Because his last name is Finnish and he was arrested in the yoop I figured he was from the Houghton Hancock area. Like why would he target a synagogue so far away. It's closer to drive to Washington DC than it is to there. He was arrested by Pickford. Ok not as far. Turns out he attended East Lansing High School for 20 21 school year at least. 🤔 Which is even weirder. By MSU. Very diverse community.
