Years ago, I took a two day course on “Search and Rescue in Community Disasters” - one of many programs offered through FEMA to help communities deal with the aftermath of disasters. It’s well worth availing yourself of such training, even if you never end up using it. There’s lots of practical information that will make YOU better prepared. #EmergencyPreparedness

One of the most impressive demonstrations we did in this training was using two by fours to lift a car (standing still, not lifting it off an actual person), to show how it could be done even by folks of my small size.
