I don’t know what transpired here lately to cause such distress, but let me offer a geological analogy. Change is a constant in the Earth’s crust. Compression and tension fold and fault solid rock, centimeters a year, passing unnoticed, until these pressures exceed the limits of systems. Only when these pressures are released suddenly, as in an earthquake, do we realize that we were living in a dynamic, not static, world. Afterwards, life returns to relative calm, but change is constant.
