Home after donating my 86th pint of blood. In an ironic twist of fate, after years of battling infertility to no avail, my O+, hemoglobin rich blood is cytomegalovirus negative and ideally suited for newborn babies. I’m fortunate to be able to carry on my family tradition of blood donation that began with my grandmother during WWII and continues with my niece as the fourth generation.
