If the thought of shopping until you drop on #BlackFriday (or ever) fills you with disgust, consider my annual tradition. In early November, I begin assembling my gently used clothing, shoes, handbags, home decor items, jigsaw puzzles, books, and greeting card to donate to my local thrift shop. It’s the only affordable shopping option for many in my county. The proceeds benefit after-schol programs for at-risk youth, and I’m recycling items in good shape for others to reuse. It’s a win-win-win!
@kittentude when we moved from Texas to North Carolina, we gave away most of our furniture and appliances to individuals and organizations. Very liberating and good to know it would find new homes.
