Cheri… I’ve donated to you twice (in this electoral cycle alone) and voted for you (again) and will vote for you once more in November, but these daily e-mails and texts are driving me nuts. There has GOT to be a fundraising approach that expresses appreciation for loyal support without demanding more of the same day after day after damn day.
@LaurelGreen It’s maddening. I’d like to feel good [proud, happy, empowered, excited] about donating but nowadays, a donation is nothing more than a fiscal hunting license.
@cassandra17lina I’m lowkey annoyed that they started as soon as the decision dropped. It feels exploitive.
@LaurelGreen in my case, since I donated before the decision, it feels like they just ratcheted up the desperation. It’s palpable.

my asks are always at the bottom of an email. i'm providing info, support, validation, & understanding upfront & centre. i mean, c'mon - read the room. peeps are hurting & upset right now. don't they have campaign mgrs who know how to do this shit?

@CannibalHoliday @cassandra17lina still important to donate. but there are other ways to contribute to a campaign. can you get out & door knock? can you help others get to polling stns at voting time? can you help staff a polling station?
i know the emails can be annoying. can you write to them & reduce the frequency? let them know that you've donated & the barrage is making you not want to continue donating? sometimes that works.
@singlemaltgirl very well said. It’s as if all campaign finance people attended the same seminar years ago and haven’t had an original idea since. The infuriating part is that I WANT to give, but this is actually DISSUADING me.
