I just got into an argument in reddit comments because on a post about increasing openness and inclusiveness in tabletop gaming, someone tried the "if you need this, play something else" style arguments.
The poster was all like "I'm part of the problem" and was trying to get better, but this commenter obviously wasn't.
@Vikky
I know what you mean. I know I've probably done a lot of insensitive things in my past, but I've really tried to be better overall the last like 5 years. Seeing this person being so closed makes me sad.
I love tabletop RPGs, and want to see more and more people get involved. Seeing people take steps to knowingly or unknowingly push people out bugs me.
@Vikky
Been kinda trying. But I have trouble GMing. I have trouble with the big picture story stuff.
@carver
Then just be nice & helpful when others are ugly & mean, if possible
( since I have no idea what table top gaming is .... )
@carver
If they aren't careful, no one will want to play with them
Most people do not like bullies
Can you start your own game & welcome the newbies ?
