@jpacker I'm mostly D&D 3.5 and 5th, but been enjoying Edge of the Empire a lot when I played it. I also really like Shadowrun. But I'll play anything.
I miss playing.
@carver #Shadowrun is definitely top 5 for me. trying to convince myself to jump to fifth edition but fourth is where all my happy memories happened.
@jpacker had some fun with 4, but 5th is where I mostly love it, even if I haven't gotten to play it much. I was actually a part of the first public play test for 5th, and it was amazing.
@jpacker yeah that is definitely weird. I just like 5th because it's got that old school vibe. I also like that it is easier to die. Makes me have to think about my actions more, than just "I run blindly around the corner!"
@carver I won't lie, the limits on net hits works for me. The return of decks and deckers is great.
But the always-on wireless thing is breaking my heart. And the addiction rules are a hot mess.
Still trying to grok the matrix rules, actually.
@jpacker "still trying to grok the matrix rules" seems like half of the reviews for Shadowrun I've ever seen, any edition. Heh
@carver Maybe a bad batch - one was had the cover cracked away and tore a little, the other where the binding was solid, but the pages were aligned with the bottom edge of the cover instead of centered like it should have been.
