Duck update: The duck near our house is still there. My son suggested that we call him Ducklas.
I think he picked a good spot because the creek bank is a steep slope about 5-6 feet where he resides. I don’t know if coyotes can get to him. It would probably take a net or a snare at the end of a pole to catch him. We’ve been feeding him some bread.

I haven’t seen him fly. My guess is that someone abandoned him, but all the neighbors hope he stays.
