Any whisky folks on this here site? Arran is always a fave distillery of mine. This one is nicknamed the Bodega and is a delicious sherry cask offering bottled at cask strength. Punchy and fruity. Also quite well priced.
@LSWellesley it really is delicious. My first intro to Arran was the sadly discontinued 14 year old. Such a huge fruity nose on them.
@Notokay I am also a peathead - Laphroaig being my all-time favourite distillery. I've only had the Port Charlotte 10 in that range before, great stuff. Also enjoy the peated Irish like Connemara which are a bit lighter and sweeter. @LSWellesley
@brucefraser @LSWellesley I think I've had Arran, but not in this country. My preference is for heavily peated Scotch. Port Charlotte is one of my favorites, and usually very reasonably priced. (And I was introduced to Connemara peated single malt Irish whiskey in Dublin this summer, which I also quite enjoyed.) There are definitely whisky drinkers here.
