I left Twitter and FB awhile ago and thought I could manage IG and Reddit with just fun things. But lately I find myself becoming the same person I was on Twitter. I realized it when I was banned for two days on Reddit for being combative with a gun nut during one of the last shootings we had here. I never experience that here and I’m about to shut those accounts down too I think. The negative is starting to out weigh the positive. I appreciate COSO very much.
@bmacmixer
I have a similar story. One of the things I like about this place is that no one argues or yells at me if I get pissy. They just ignore me. That's actually excellent feedback. 🤣🤣🤣
@MotherOfDragons it’s very much a physical feeling as well at those sites when you’re in the throes of it. Very addictive. And it’s scary how good it works to pull us into it. Next thing I know I’ve wasted so much time in flash of an eye. It can feel purposeful.. like I’m doing something to help but it’s not that at all. I’m just reacting to some assholes reaction to something else. It’s a viscous circle with a pile of 💩 in the middle.
@MotherOfDragons I had noticed improvements in mood the rest of the day and felt better as well.
