Trump’s advisers came up with the “Wall” as a memory device to keep him from forgetting immigration in his campaign speeches. Now it is boxing in his entire presidency.

@bluesbaby @WeThePeople It’s fear. Fear the country is being taken over by people who don’t have pale skin. They say the wall is all about national security. I say it’s all about Conservative insecurity.
I fear you are right. I hadn't realised just how much racism was in the GOP before.
@bluesbaby @WeThePeople Sadly, I see this in my conservative parents. As they get older, they blame more and more of the country’s problems on “minorities” (that’s my dad’s old-school word). The reality is they are afraid of becoming the minority themselves. I’ve lived my whole life in the tri-state area, my dad did a lot of business in NYC. He is well aware that Trump is a liar, cheat, failed business person and crook. But he still voted for him.
My parents were less Republicans than being victims of the Jesus pill,...
They joined the Evangelical Lemmings and slipped in to march step with Jerry Falwells 'Prosperity Gospel' which basically translated in to,.. if you have money your chosen,... if your poor your ungodly and should be shunned
Ah yes. The moral majority. Did anyone predict that empowering the religious right would have the consequences it did?
Ok. Wasn't sure if it was obvious or not. We get all the U.S. news but sometimes miss what the mood of the people really is.
