Trump’s advisers came up with the “Wall” as a memory device to keep him from forgetting immigration in his campaign speeches. Now it is boxing in his entire presidency.

Interesting read.

Why do Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh want the wall so bad?

Follow

@bluesbaby @WeThePeople It’s fear. Fear the country is being taken over by people who don’t have pale skin. They say the wall is all about national security. I say it’s all about Conservative insecurity.

@redbarchetta3 @bluesbaby

The Wall only matters to Trump and about a third of his own base, or 10% of the country, the hard core Fascistic racists

for the rest of his cult it's a symbol, a flag to wave, a power play,..
But for Trump the wall is equivalent to his dick size. If he doesn't get his wall, or walk away from this fight without be able to claim he won, he'll feel emasculated, and cornered,.... it's when you corner an animal or a Psychopath that the real trouble comes

@WeThePeople @bluesbaby the problem now with this wall, is Trump is backed into a corner. Lindsey Graham told Fox/Trump that if he doesn’t get the wall funded that’s his presidency. He’s correct. Trump doesn’t care about government workers not getting paid, poor people not getting food stamps or people waiting longer for tax returns. He’ll take the ship down with him as he tries to save face.

@WeThePeople @bluesbaby LOL - I did. I’m so disgusted by this whole thing I don’t even realize when I’m being repetitious.

@WeThePeople @redbarchetta3

That 10% sure have a loud voice. The other 90% better start thinking about a general strike or something dramatic to get the word out.

@redbarchetta3 @WeThePeople

I fear you are right. I hadn't realised just how much racism was in the GOP before.

@bluesbaby @WeThePeople Sadly, I see this in my conservative parents. As they get older, they blame more and more of the country’s problems on “minorities” (that’s my dad’s old-school word). The reality is they are afraid of becoming the minority themselves. I’ve lived my whole life in the tri-state area, my dad did a lot of business in NYC. He is well aware that Trump is a liar, cheat, failed business person and crook. But he still voted for him.

@redbarchetta3 @bluesbaby

My parents were less Republicans than being victims of the Jesus pill,...

They joined the Evangelical Lemmings and slipped in to march step with Jerry Falwells 'Prosperity Gospel' which basically translated in to,.. if you have money your chosen,... if your poor your ungodly and should be shunned

@WeThePeople @redbarchetta3

Ah yes. The moral majority. Did anyone predict that empowering the religious right would have the consequences it did?

@WeThePeople

Ok. Wasn't sure if it was obvious or not. We get all the U.S. news but sometimes miss what the mood of the people really is.

My very first letter to the editor that was published in the St Louis Post was back in 1987,......

It was entitled "How the new Right will take us in to Theocracy"

I got death threats, I was almost fired from my job, and my mother threatened to disown me

@WeThePeople @redbarchetta3

Whoa!! That's crazy. And now you've had all these years to see your pov proven right. Must make you furious.

@bluesbaby @redbarchetta3

I live in Missouri, I have enough I see daily to get furious over, I forgot that issues decades ago,... its been a waste of breath to say anything

@redbarchetta3 @WeThePeople

This fear of not being the majority as well as a perception that men are losing power is terrifying to a lot of people. Sad.
