OK, - I have seen the error of my ways.

I used to think those temperature controlled gooseneck kettles were only necessary if you were doing pour over coffee. Being a long time French press devotee, I thought it wouldn't benefit me much.

Oh, was I wrong. Having the water at exactly 205°F gives a very noticeable upgrade in flavor, with lovely crema to boot! I've been missing out!

@voltronic 1,000% I use an and Cafe Bustelo to make my morning cup of Joe. Having the right temperature so as to not make the coffee bitter, and not letting it steep for too long, I do no more than 30 seconds - has been a GAME CHANGER! For the first time in my 50+ year life I experienced black coffee that tasted good! I have a temp controlled gooseneck kettle, a must have!!!
