I used to hate it when my crawl space flooded.
I grabbed a pump and a smart plug a few weeks ago, now I can remotely trigger the pump when it rains.
But what really made me hope for some moisture in the basement was the sprinkler I got, now spinning water shoots all over my lawn after it rains, helping my lawn grow.
Also it’s fun to watch!

@EnochianEntropy fwiw this house did the same and I trenched around, put in for real French drain, tied all the gutters into PVC pipes down away from the house and lo, the sump pump hath quieted.
@b4cks4w I need to do that at some point, I also need to fix a gutter downspout.
