Many aspects of my profession confuse me, but the most glaring of them all is pride.

Failure is the best teacher there is, and is rife with people who pretend that isn't the case.

100%. Failure is necessary, thee 's no growth, no quality improvement, no progress without it.

@artemis @kel Growing up a perfectionist made this difficult for years. I learned to use “the principle of ‘good enough’,” and that broke me free. 👍

'good enough' is good in many instances, and yes, it can free one's mind, to focus on moving forward faster :--)

@jaunty If we had militant parents, then we were raised to believe that failure is unacceptable.

It ruins us, because failure is what's necessary to learn. @artemis

@kel Mine were overprotective. They were good people and cared for me. But restricted my activities outside of school. My reaction was to go deeper into HS studies and essentially became a hermit.
