Oooof , cars🚗

There's something that drains my car's battery. They cannot find what. They change the battery, then, if the car is not driven for some time, it dies. Then again, get new battery and repeat.

@artemis pull one of the battery cables and check the current draw. It should be 50 mA or less.

If it's more, leave the meter hooked up and pull fuses/relays one at a time till you find the offending circuit

Then troubleshoot that circuit.

@Dane That's solid advice. Denoting for future troubleshooting. ✌️ @artemis

@artemis Volvo, by any chance? A buddy has one that does this, it's all the computers he thinks. Is there any way you can park it with a trickle charger on it?

@PoliticalEd

Not a Volvo. A Fiesta :-)
Yeah, might be computer thing.
Nope, cannot put a trickle on it.

@artemis We had that happen on our Mazda 3 for a while. Turns out a door sensor was broken, leaving it to think that it was always ajar.

@artemis Dane's strategy is the way to go. Multimeters are very cheap on Amazon.

@kel
great :--)

After I paid the shop for 'diagnostics' and they cannot find the ...diagnosis 🤣
