A kind of difficult paradox:
Breaking news typically unfolds fastest and least distorted here on CoSo.
If I stayed away from soc med, I might get to be in a state of blissful ignorance for a little longer.
But being here also gives me access to kind, supportive, and empathic people.
We have huddled together through many terrible events, and the comfort has been profound at times.
So here I stay, sad and wiser.

@Minholkin I often think of this place as somewhere you walk into and take a seat, someone hands you a glass of water, a cup of coffee, or mug of beer and then they hold your hand while chatting or sitting quietly together.
