Interesting day in orientation. With staffing just being awful everywhere my preceptor and I got pulled to open the ED admit overflow unit (where people who are admitted wait to get a bed on a nursing unit.) So I can say that for the first time I admitted 9 people in 4 hours. Nothing new in terms of the work itself. But definitely new workflow/unit experience. Drama and staffing aside, I quite like my new hospital.
