@Mauve_matelot I met him through my ex. They used to work together and we remained in contact through the last 15 or so years. They’re lovely people and it’s heartbreaking that they still don’t have answers.

I will pray that some in their area can help with their domestic situation/pay for maid service to ease the burden on Chris and wife.

@redenigma local folks ARE helping. They specifically asked for prayers 🤷🏻‍♀️

@annamuneca AND specifically asked for help with cleaning & dishes... which kinda indicates, to me anyway, that they aren't doing more than offering prayer

@Mauve_matelot i realize that for believers prayer can help, but when one is physically ill, actual assistance with daily life is so much more practical & not at all mutually exclusive

@redenigma I agree with you, thoughts and prayers can sound trite, yet as a person of faith there are times when I not physically available, but knowing that others are aware and seeking to support my situation makes me feel less adrift in my situation.

@redenigma I also try when possible to step up with my physical offers when I can, this is part of the reason I am part if the British Red Cross, because so often those with lots of time on their hands have not got fantastic health and those with good health struggle to prioritise who they can assist effectively
