As recently as June 24, #Biden campaign chair Jen O'Malley Dillon said she thought #Florida wasn't a battleground state. Dillon is now the #Harris campaign chair.
Florida has a reproductive rights initiative on the November ballot, which should juice the state turnout. But if the campaign chair think it's not worth it, then the opportunity is lost.
So far #Harris hasn't announced any Florida rallies in upcoming days, only in "battleground" states.(2/2)

@tgraph52 I agree. If you don't try, you're certain to lose.
@WordsmithFL the Democratic party has been mis-managing Florida for decades.
@WordsmithFL
She should definitely come here. I think Florida is in play, I don't believe for a second that we are solidly republican
@Idissent I think it's more that the state Democratic party has done a very poor job of organization, registration, and turnout. The potential is here.
The local party (Brevard County) has been more active in recent months, but this county is so overwhelmingly #Trump I don't know how much they can do. After all, we're the home of the Moms for Liberty founders. But any votes they can flip for state or federal will help.
@WordsmithFL
Yeah, Florida is bat shit crazy and I really think they have done themselves a huge disservice by not putting more effort into it. Here in Indian River county we are most definitely purple
