My apartment tower had the rotten luck to malfunction on a holiday weekend. This first weekend of Feria de las Flores has a Monday holiday (for the Battle of Boyacá in 1819, a critical victory for Colombian independence in Simon Bolívar's fight for what was then Nueva Granada), so everyone's been off celebrating flower fairs and similar. The emergency mechanics in this city have been too busy to show up.
So... no power yet! Another day in the mall. Hope I can still pull off online meetings! 🤞🏻
@MLClark Have you lost any refrigerated goods?
@MLClark Sounds beautiful.
You're the "City of Eternal Spring."
We're the "County of Eternal Mosquitos." 😱
@WordsmithFL
Oof. That looks rough. Hope you can stay cool & keep the noggin' functional.
I live in a "City of Eternal Spring": the mountain-valley nature of this equatorial city keeps its weather pretty stable all through the year. Cool in the mornings, heating with the sun to around 28°C (82.4°F) usually, upper bound of maybe 33°C (91.4°F) at its worst?, then cooling again when the sun goes down. It's like that year round, with some seasons a little cooler & rainer.
Stay safe & sane today!
