@MLClark Living off the land, so to speak. Wise.
The heat index here is already 94°F (34°C) at 8 AM. By midday it will be 110°F (43°C). At least it's winter for you, and you have the mall as a Plan B.
Oof. That looks rough. Hope you can stay cool & keep the noggin' functional.
I live in a "City of Eternal Spring": the mountain-valley nature of this equatorial city keeps its weather pretty stable all through the year. Cool in the mornings, heating with the sun to around 28°C (82.4°F) usually, upper bound of maybe 33°C (91.4°F) at its worst?, then cooling again when the sun goes down. It's like that year round, with some seasons a little cooler & rainer.
Stay safe & sane today!
@MLClark Sounds beautiful.
You're the "City of Eternal Spring."
We're the "County of Eternal Mosquitos." 😱
@WordsmithFL
Are you familiar with the "Everything's coming up Milhouse" meme?
My fridge has actually been unplugged since May - easy enough when one can get fresh ingredients for the day at the local tienda, and eggs don't need refrigeration here - so nothing was around to spoil in the first place.
I live simply. Sometimes that works in my favour, though not for early or late-evening writing outside of notebooks. But the mall will open soon. Hope your own Monday is unencumbered! 🤞🏻
