Went to the free opening of Weaving Meanings: Telephone Wire Art from South Africa at the Museum of International Folk Art today. Gorgeous art, great panel discussion with two of the artists, interesting live music from Thokozani Mhlambi, yummy curry from Jambo Cafe. Local community coming together to celebrate other cultures is a balm for the soul.
