As a Texan, surrounded by members of both parties and with the longest border with Mexico, I can assure you the stunt of the GOP today is nothing but performative politics.
The GOP does NOT want an immigration solution.
Next to guns, immigration and the border is one of their hottest tickets to pull in voters.
