Good morning, CoSo!
I'm working on my workshop for Jan. 27th for Nova Southeastern U.
Title:
TSTL - How to Prevent Your Characters From Becoming Too Stupid To Live.
I have examples to use - such as the classic 'babysitter opens the closet door instead of running away',
But, I'd be interested in hearing any examples you know of - something that drove you nuts in a movie or book?
Thanks!!

Yeah. That one always makes me laugh!
I get so mad at writers when they make characters do stupid things.
@VictoriaLandis1 I always laughed at how the serial killer shakes his head at how dumb they are ...
My hobby horse has always been why characters never go to the bathroom. 🙄 When I write my novel, my characters will need to attend to bodily functions.
@VictoriaLandis1
A cozy mystery in which the sleuth was so passive & timid that she was not believable as a detective.
Good. Character traits that don't (or can't) match up. Check.

Speaking of cozies, can we just stop with the trope of the cop boyfriend who conveniently feeds her evidence, then turns around & orders her not to get involved?
@VictoriaLandis1 "Let's split up and look for clues." 😂
