Most sane people saw this coming when Reagan was elected in 1980. It's the natural consequence of politicising religion.

Reagan, Thatcher, & Mulroney are unholy trinity.
Mulroney's still alive & not as insane as the other 2.
He helped our Feds renegotiate NAFTA (it was originally signed under his watch in '87, then included Mexico in '88).
