So just thinking about how silly my thoughts are sometimes. I have lost 40 lbs in the last few months by working my ass off- eating well & moving consistently. Instead of just accepting that for the tremendous accomplishment it is, I also find myself feeling embarrassed. I'm a short woman, so I keep thinking, "Will people hear that number and be disgusted that I had that much to lose to begin with?" or "Will people be aghast that I've lost so much, and I'm still not at a healthy weight?"

@Vhines38 Good job, Vanessa. I'm very happy for you. Don't worry about folks that aren't supportive. Threy aren't worth a second thought. ❤

@awnaves The funny thing is that there's no one who's been unsupportive. I work from home and don't really get out with friends- so honestly there's not really anyone other than my family who would notice the change. I could tell internet friends who I don't see in person, and they don't even really have a point of reference to understand how that 40 pounds changed my body. I guess that's kinda my point. This is all in my head. My own unreasonable doubts are diminishing my achievement.

@Vhines38 Relatable. Be proud of yourself. FWIW, a 40 lb weight loss in a few months is tremendous and you aren't alone. Many people find themselves with extra pounds after pandemic life. I know I sure do!
