I’m sitting in the waiting room at my dealership having my infotainment system “fixed.”

I’ve received emails asking me if I want to trade in my truck. It’s a 2016 Colorado that had $12,000 worth of damage in 2019.

I just got a call from a salesman here they see my truck is in for service and want to look at it for trade in or sale.

Hahahaha!!!!

That’s some funny shit right there.

Nope.

@MrsBentoBako From about 15 years ago (before Big Brother was quite as big): Buddy took his high-end Nissan in for work. He was a bit of a gear head and whatever was broken was beyond even his skills. Going to a dealer was a very last resort. Anyway.... While waiting he was of course looking around the showroom. A sales guy chatted him up. After finding out what kid of car he was currently driving the sales guy told him he would give him X dollars for his current car sight-unseen....

@MrsBentoBako As they are writing up the deal the sales guy finally asked him where his car was so they could take it for a quick spin. He told the guy it was over in the service department getting what would likely be 1,000's of dollars worth of work. Too late. The paperwork was already signed. So instead of taking home his fixed car he went home with a new one.
