Taking advantage of a break in the weather Ziggy decided to take me for a walk around the park.

That looks like the duck pond/Commonwealth Lake park not far from our house in Cedar Hills, OR. I love that place!
@Teej_Muk you are correct. The ducks and geese were out in full force today. Plenty of distractions to help with Zigs training.

What is Ziggy training for? Personal or service dog or ??
@Teej_Muk same here. Lived in the neighborhood for 28 years. My kids grew up at the “Duck Pond”. That trail along Lanewood was “The Secret Passage” Ziggy just spent a month at a board and train. The hope was a service dog but don’t think he’s going to pass. We will be flying him with us down to Panama where we will be for about a year. Think he’s flying cargo.

Ah, yes. Down by Foothill Park. My babysitter called that area Terebithia when she was little & played there a lot. She grew up on Parkway, one block from the Dellwood entrance. When I was little, folks even took their inflatable rafts onto the lake. My folks went ice skating there in winter 1972. Both my brother & I played soccer there. The expanded wetlands closed the soccer field a few years ago, tho. A game hazard there was the ball ending up in the drink! 😝 so many memories
@Teej_Muk THPRD opened up a new playground alongside the soccer fields. Built a walkway over the swampy ditch. Ziggy and I have walked up and down every street in that neighborhood. I lived up on Hillcroft for about 15 years until moving to the other side of Butner to get a bigger house. That park and the school district were the main reasons of only moving less that a mile.
@Teej_Muk funny story about the Blazers. Our graduation ceremony was at the Civic downtown during the final game. We all had AM radios listening to the game. We went from the graduation and walked in our gowns downtown for the celebrations. Wild day. No worries about the age thing. I play a good grumpy old man on social media. 👨🏻🦳

What a fun story! Not many people can tell that one, for sure!
My younger brother and I were at the babysitter in NW Portland. We heard all the cars honking and my parents come in all aglow and excited after the final. I believe we went to Baskin-Robbins for a treat when we got back home to celebrate the Championship. We also went to the Parade downtown that the city threw for the Blazers. That was a fun June that year!

😊 Hard to tell what age folks are sometimes online. So you graduated the year the Blazers won it all! My parents were season ticket holders and saw it all happen in person. That was the most excited I've ever seen my mom that day! 🎉
