Going dark did me no good at all.
Went to get takeout for lunch. My wife wanted fish from a local place that makes really good catfish.
Overheard something. Two guys standing in line behind me. Full-bore white trash, one tells the other, "I expect I'll get a raise once Trump gets rid of the spics and puts the n-words where they belong." His buddy nodded like a happy dumb-ass.
I threw up in the parking lot.
My wife is eating her lunch. I'm going to go mow the fucking lawn.
@TwiHusband Fucking hell. What a bunch of ignorant yahoos. I'm sorry you had to hear that.
@CrankyGrandma The ironic thing? Back in 2016, a week after the election, I was in Kroger when I overheard a sales associate (middle-aged woman) talking to an equally middle-aged couple. Thick southern accent. And I quote. "Ah don't agree with everythin' Mistah Trump sez, but Ah'll just be happy if we don't have to wait on n-words no more."
I should have been expecting it this time, yet it still shocked me.

@CrankyGrandma Right now, bitterness has the upper hand though.
@TwiHusband Indeed.
@TwiHusband i want to leave dumbfuckistan pls :(
@dietotaku This won't be over until a genuine catastrophe rubs the white minority's nose in their own greed, stupidity, and evil. And by "white minority" I mean those that voted for Trump, AND the dumb fuck lefties that stayed home to pout over some imagined slight.
And, by catastrophe, I mean catastrophe. A 1929 Crash being the low end of the scale, with WW3 on the other end. Where's a nice super-volcano eruption when you need one?
@TwiHusband i was gonna say covid, which demonstrably killed more republicans than democrats, but you're right, that's not even close to 1929/WW3 levels.
@dietotaku Wait until Kennedy bans ALL vaccines. That will make Covid look like a sweetheart's kiss. Keep masks and gloves handy.
@TwiHusband @dietotaku
I've already started stockpiling masks.
@TwiHusband i guess i'm lucky that my kids have received almost all their vaccines already... i need to double-check if my oldest got the meningitis vaccine but if not i can schedule them in before EOY.
@dietotaku There were 9 kids born in my father's family, only 4 made it to adulthood. 3 boys and a girl. The childhood great plagues of the pre-mandated vaccination days took the other 3, and scarlet fever nearly got my father. Diphtheria, Whooping Cough, Measles, Polio. It's all coming back, because Jesus says so.

@dietotaku And they're setting us up for the plagues again...which they will, no doubt, blame on the Democrats. God's punishment for tolerating Liberals, Gays, and Non-whites or some such bullshit
As an aside, I never met my 2 uncles. They died on Omaha Beach before my father even met my mother.

@TwiHusband So sad to have that mindset. Aren't we glad we believe in empathy, compassion, equality?
