@ToruOkada can you say more about we are lookin at? I see in the article that some of this at least because poor people are already buying the least cost items. I am having difficulty explaining the graph relationship.
@TheresaVermont The average inflation does not affect people equally. If you buy costly high-end food, you can downgrade. If you buy the cheapest you can get, you don't have this option, you are fully exposed to the price inflation. Especially, if the lowest-priced products run out of stock because people from higher income brackets now also buy them. This is what the graph shows - the difference in inflation between the top and bottom 10% over time.
@ToruOkada thanks!!
@ToruOkada it’s so frustrating. No one needs that much. And now tell me that they won’t have AI create more hardship for everyday people because they’ll be the ones controlling it.. we need a complete overhaul of laws.
@Museek Warren Buffet warned his peers a decade ago that if they don't change tack, they will encounter pitchforks. They didn't listen. Instead, the millionaire class has doubled down.
@ToruOkada it seems it’s only a matter of time. I’m watching things get completely out of hand in Oakland. Wouldn’t go up there for any reason, now. I hear Sacramento is also getting bad.
@ToruOkada that Mofo has the nards to union bust. Greediest man in history.
@MookyTroubadour This field is heavily contested.
While I’ve never flown with a pet, I seriously doubt it costs over $1,000 USD.
“The company said its service was not aimed at the super-rich, with seat prices comparable to cargo prices for dogs with an air ticket for their owners.”
@ToruOkada that is a pretty wide net "those paid more than US$140,000" as the 1%.
I believe it though.
My poor extended family travel rarely, consume little, and drive nowhere.
@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN I don't know anybody who earns 140k. Am I out of touch?
