@TheNewsOwl Lyme is a horrific disease. Shortly after moving back to NC, my daughter contracted it from a tick bite. Typical bullseye rash around tick bite. She's suffered for years now with debilitating joint & bone pain, swellings, allergy's to medications. Symptoms go & come back. She suffered bad the first year. Get treatment early... She took several courses of doxycycline with little effect over the long-term.

Always check between toes and the tiny ear flaps. It’s a daily battle. Almost lost both my dogs to tick fever on St Croix.
