Yeah, forgiveness isn't on-brand for those evangelicals.

None of them have read the bible and only hear scriptures secondhand from some preacher. If that guy is political and not religious, all his flock are political.
Their Jesus is as much of a hoax as the liberal one.
The bible was written and edited by men, not a god.
It has been used to control people since it's conception.
