@DisasterOracle Did you ever see Project: ALF? It's a TV movie from 1996 that ties up that cliffhanger and sets the stage for a reboot that never happened.
Apparently, the ALF team had been assured that they'd get one more season or a one-hour special to wrap up the show, but the president of NBC who made that promise was replaced before he could make good on it.
Yea. Still mad.

The ending to ALF is when I learned to not trust sitcom writers.
