I'm looking at a bunch of old drawings my mom saved, and it's amazing how the franchises I was obsessed with at age six are the same franchises I'm obsessed with at age 38.
@sarcasmsign LOL! I would love to have seen this! Did you often have to explain to people what they were, or was the reference clear enough?
@TheCard I think among other kids I went to school with, they knew they were the South Park rats. Adults, not so much. π
@TheCard I'm obsessed with this interpretation of Bart Simpson. π
@danialexis If nothing else, it's more aesthetically ambitious than any of my original characters.
@TheCard I remember being about 10 and wanting to write for The Simpsons when I grew up. My fifth-grade teacher told me the show wouldn't last that long. Oops.
@danialexis LOL! It's the first show whose writer credits I paid attention to, and like a lot of '90s kids, my sense of humor was largely shaped by its golden years.
@TheCard The last time my car was in the shop, my dad loaned me his. He announced his arrival by singing "driver of a loaner car (is much better than a) driver of my normal car." π
@TheCard my go-to was drawing the rats that were always swarming Kenny's dead body on EVERYTHING. π€£ Every new paper bag cover on my school books was adorned.
