Why the Kremlin loves social media
This week’s indictment of a social media content firm shows how it’s getting easier and easier for Russia to influence U.S. elections.

I’m glad this story has some serious legs to it and rejoice a bit every time it’s mentioned in places like Politico or TPM or the YT news-ish media.
I’m frankly also surprised with all the “surprise”. Putin basically hit the Lotto with all the manipulation by FSB / IRA / WikiLeaks / Cambridge Analytica / FB Trump campaign “white glove service” and US RW alt-media amplification of all that Russian psy-ops that bagged him a toady / stooge / goon in the Oval office in 2016
Pt 1
And for every clown Putin-clown stooge like Tim Poole, there’s dozens who want that same sweet gig w/ the same sweet multi-million dollar payout.
This may have been the most powerful network, but I’m sure there are many other Tenet ops being incubated and it’s a bo brainer to think China, Iran, North Korea all have their own too.
Kudos to Garland for nailing this one this hard though as I’m sure the money will have to dry out for those as well now or risk discovery..

@TheAbbotTrithemius @catlynne333 I too, am surprised at the surprise of putin manipulation. It's been so blatant since 2015.
