@TheAbbotTrithemius The switch is also true. If you were not specifically invited, showing up is extremely poor form. I did not plan for your presence, and there is likely a reason I did not invite you to begin with. And 99/100 there is no malice or spite in that choice either.

For me, unless there is very pointed direction to me. Even if plans are made in front of me, if they do not ask me, I do not assume I am part of them.
It is a matter of being direct. Being clear in what you want. Too many people are not, they imply or beat around the proverbial bush, and then nothing happens and they get upset because they were not direct.
