The Post article was particularly damning.
Steve Bannon must be laughing his ass off. This was his goal: the complete deconstruction of the U.S. government and its support mechanisms.
That might be a real short lived laugh one would hope. This crisis hasn't even peaked yet and the incompetence, chaos, lack of preparation, insane contradictory communications and malfeasance is just going to get worse.
Know how I know? Trump needing so desperately control and game the narrative is going to explode in his face. And he will not stop. No amount of pain and death means jackshit to him compared to remaining in the WH.
There's going to be a lot of suffering that could've been avoided had the govt agencies put there to protect people from somthing like this been properly staffed and funded AND....

I completely agree with you. The administration, as currently staffed, does not have the cognitive capacities, the cohesiveness or, perhaps, even the desire to effectively respond to a crisis the magnitude of the one impending. This isn't something you can distract from, air-strike your way out of, or even LIE about. His base of toothless Oakies are likely to suffer most in the event of a true pandemic.
Perhaps this is the 16 ton weight that obliterates the camel.
