Amusing tale of two Ohio girls trying to survive in Greenwich Village apartment; strained at times. Belongs mainly to Russell as older sister of knockout Blair.

Nice! They just found a massive apt in Greenwich Village for $45 a month. Which sounds high for 1942!

@Steve3762

What a bunch of characters. I mean they're mostly stereotypes, but iwht a film like this from 1942, it probably was the original work that all the stereotypes and similar storylines came from..

And maybe it's due to what took place this week with Kavanaugh & Co, but the attitudes towards women were incredible. I could see this being unwatchable for some women after this week.

Think of 1942 though. The worst year for the world war. Africa almost lost, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia. France, Holland, Belgium etc...
And yet, you could escape to the movies with this gem!

Aww..gee whiz....🀣 πŸ˜‚ Ha ha ha....shuutt uppp...LOL!

It's pretty meaningless. And we definitely made efforts to downplay that aspect after the site went live, and make sure everyone felt equal, welcome and appreciated and had a sense of ownership...I think that's one of the reasons the welcome tradition began...and lives on. Anyone here has just as much right to welcome others as anyone else...

I think that was a marriage proposal. I think all of these screwball comedies had to end with one...

AH HA HA...Three Stooges cameo!! Classic!!
