That is Main Street in Chimney Rock. Friends own the Broad Street Inn which is a total loss. Their house in the hills was spared but the Inn and another business they own are gone.

Very popular village just a bit north of Lake Lure. It’s the trailhead for the hike to Chimney Rock. Much of the debris backed up by the Lake Lure dam came from Chimney Rock.
