Public service announcement: If you wait until less than 24-hours to withdraw from a full-loop interview that I got you scheduled for, don't bother including a line like "I hope to work with you and XYZ in the future." 'Cause yeah, we damn sure make a note about that in our applicant tracking system.
And if you withdraw less than 2 hours before kickoff, we've got a special list for you, that get's shared across our network.
@Synical Just curious, on the flip side, if a recruiter fails to meet their commitments, am I expected to just trust them?
@JGNWYRK Nope, you should absolutely elevate it to the hiring manager (if known), or to the recruiter's manager.
@Synical Rarely known unfortunately. I have so many dead end leads on Linkedin at this point I could write a book.
@JGNWYRK I rarely touch LI at this point. So tired of getting connect requests "to expand my veteran network," that immediately result in inMails advertising their services as a new financial advisor, salesperson, etc. It's right up there with Twitter for me.
Side note: Dunno if it's just this batch of candidates, but I seriously expected better from a pool that's exclusively veteran's and servicemembers. Must be my old senior NCO side comin' out.
