This is a good time to reiterate my statement that fascism in the world today has a limited lifespan. Fascism will not be able to deal with climate change, let alone our various economic, IT, and disease crises.
Fascism will try to exploit these, ignore them, blame others for them, etc. But it won't solve, prevent, or even predict.
So it's not just Fascism. It's fascism then a multisided collapse, with a lot of very bad responses to it.
Vote, act, and get involved accordingly.
@StevenSavage
When the sole vision is absolute power the lack of a plan or even imagination renders it impotent. You are 💯 correct!
@Mfieck the challenge will be for people to deal with it. I have resigned myself to the fact that parts of the world and our own country will collapse and become unlivable. But we can reduce it and get through it.
@StevenSavage
Utter collapse is imaginable but so is the opposite. Those who have only known comfort will be the weakest as humans face difficulties requiring sacrifice to sustain and hopefully thrive as a species. Greed will take us to the brink...what will keep us from the freefall? I don't know.
One of those near earth planet killers may render this moot. (And I'm an optimist).
@StevenSavage My concern is that even if we do recover from fascism, it won't be in time to fix those problems. We have to stop this before it takes over the world.
@AskTheDevil As I expect us to have major events within a decade, we need to prevent.
I actually lean slightly to the positive on us getting through the next few decades, but the losses, the casualties, the social and infrastructure decay will still be terrible.
