Know what drives me crazy? I'm a lifelong resident of southern Illinois and I've moved to central Mississippi with my partner and thank god we are kinda secluded back here against a private lake but every house on the way back to our place is cliche trumpers with their "fuck Biden" flags and "frump 2024" flags. They're loud and obnoxious. It's 24/7 of AR-15 shooting and obnoxious truck revving, sprinkled with outdoor fighting and screaming.
@StephanieResists that sounds awful. So sorry.
@StephanieResists
I don't think I could move back to MS, especially now that my parents have passed away.
Peace to you!
@StephanieResists and I thought southeastern Virginia was bad. The open gunfire thingie happens in the more rural areas because of “gun practice.” I moved here seven years ago to be near family. I’m an Army brat so I have lived in lots of places.
@StephanieResists You've moved to RedNeckLandia. I'm guessing Rankin, or worse, Simpson County although there are many other options. I left there to come to the slightly less mass delusional gulf coast. It's the same just less of it. We have majority Democratic areas but they aren't liberal just more intensely oppressed and aggressively support civil rights but conservative or centrist in every other way.
@MississippiGoneCoastal Yep, Rankin it is. Outside of Brandon.
@StephanieResists That's where I grew up, way out in the sticks south of Brandon. Now the incorporated city of Brandon stops at my dad's property line. A few more years he'll be in the city.
@MississippiGoneCoastal That's sad, would prompt me to pack up and leave. I'm out off 18. I sit on lil over 6 acres of nothing but woods. I can't see my neighbors until the leaves fall off the trees, except for an elderly guy across the road, and he is kind and rarely seen.
@StephanieResists Dad is 82 so he figures he'll be in a nursing home by the time the city takes in his land. I couldn't live out there. I need civilization.
@StephanieResists I would never survive it. 😔
@StephanieResists
Ew. I'm sorry. That sucks.
