I can't get a decent photo of Jupiter and its moons to save my life. I think it's my tripod because I can't keep the target in the frame without holding on to the camera. No matter how many adjustments I make with the knobs, once I let go with my hands the target leaves the frame. #Photography #Jupiter

Stay patient. Does the camera have a remote trigger? If it doesnt, does it have a shutter timer? Then, you can push the button, but the shutter doesnt fire until the vibration from your finger has calmed down.
Also, Try pointing the camera towards where Jupiter WILL be in a minute or two (not where it is now). This might give the tripod time to settle. Wait for the earth to turn into your frame.

@alchemistbbc only thing I know is on the setting for the moon photography there is a three second delay so I can push the button and then let go but the problem is once I get zoomed in and I adjust the knob for the side to side and I adjust the knob for the up-and-down and I get the target in the field of view, I let go of the camera and the weight of the camera (I believe) is pulling and causing the target to leave the frame instantly.
