#help GF is having a full-on meltdown because she's watched the Macy's Parade her whole life and we recently got Xfinity wifi, I think the guy used our coax cable that went from an antenna on the roof to install it, because that cable was already established coming through the floor, so now we have no reg antenna tv. The NBC and CBS apps want over 5 bucks (I suggested them to mirror to tv) Is there another way to watch it

I can't see a way around the paywalls that isn't just flat violation, so I won't suggest such a thing, but if she just has to have the Al Roker experience, I'm sorry cuz that ain't it, heh.
Hope your holiday is still good. If it were me, I'd ask her to tell me what about that tradition she liked best, how she felt about it, memories she had of it. Maybe reminiscing would help make this less talkey version of the parade more enjoyable for her.

@FernLovebond I think from what she has said so far, it's because her mom (who's in assisted living with dementia) always had it playing in the background, and her auntie (whom she was very closeand is deceased) did as well. It's a connection to her better times and childhood I believe. Thank you
