@StephanieResists it might be a bit dark given the wood paneling is already wood.
do you like it. or are you thinking going lighter?
@singlemaltgirl I like the color but the white where I haven't trimmed is what I think is making me like it 🤣You're prolly right that it'll be dark with the trim. We bought this used home and the people chain smoked and the white walls were yellow. I went with the taupe because it goes with the hunter green carpet I'm stuck with.
@singlemaltgirl Well the moulding is the fake mobile home moulding. It's not even wood, so maybe I could paint the moulding a lighter color or something? I know nothing about painting. I used an app test colors on my walls visually.
@singlemaltgirl I'll prolly live with it or buy new molding rather than go through that. Lemme see if I can dig up what it looked like through the app and we'll compare for its accuracy, lol.
@StephanieResists odds are, whatever colour you like, go a bit lighter. once all the walls are painted, the colour bouncing off itself looks darker than you anticipated.
if you do replace the moulding, i would go w/ something simpler (not a lot of curves & things to it) and maybe a bit wider.
@StephanieResists if you do paint the moulding, you'd need to sand it to roughen it up no matter what it's made of. if it's not wood, you'd need to use a special primer first & then the right kind of paint. it's a bit of pain.
i'd paint the walls first and live w/ it for a bit & see if you want to paint the moulding or not.
you can always take the paint you have & ask them to lighten it.
