I think it's that people are so used to "free" SM that they forget they're paying with their data and the targeted advertising that comes with it.
I wonder how the same folk would respond if unsolicited ads turned up in their coso home TLs???
I would never normally do this but it seems pertinent to provide some context. Here is my datacenter bill for this month. This is just the primary server, not bandwidth, or the other services I need to cover per month, like Cloudflare, Amazon AWS, email transport, etc etc.
^^^ and none of the financial stuff takes into account the man-hours I'm putting into this endeavor. I'm not complaining, I'm just providing context. 👍
^^^ nobody *has* to go PRO. But it helps when you do. Peace.

Honored I was invited prior to launch where 120 “CoSoNauts” greeted me with heartfelt “toots.”
Almost a year later, CoSo has grown exponentially & yet, drop in anytime, people are always welcoming.
CoSo peeps treat one another with respect & kindness; while allowing alternative viewpoints where sarcasm & humor is still understood. Also, #CoSoMusic is the bomb.
$10 is a small price to pay knowing I can get away from the madness.

Hi @th3j35t3r Haven't been here for a minute, but I was referring to Patreon which I've contributed to since 2017.
But, besides loving the people and the platform, I need to visit more often because I discovered I'll save $5 a month by going Pro, which I did.😁
